Education - V
Confidence-building:
A major outcome of genuine learning
is the onset of confidence, mainly because of the ability for effective
communication even in highly formal contexts and contests. A thorough grounding
in the subject domains automatically helps for a quick response Quickly responding to a situation is
the virtue of the knowledgeable. In all situations, a well educated person can
analyse and decipher facts. I have reiterated the need for analytical approach
in all stages of life. Analysis has to be learnt as a part of one’s basic
education. For a comprehensive analysis, different steps may have to be
employed, calling into play proper approaches. Analytical efficiency determines
the ability to zero in on the relevant requirement. All these skills together
determine the confidence level. In day-to-day life, and in interactions with
higher officials, confidence level influences the rating of the individual’s
efficiency for the job.
Law-abiding:
Another important feature of the
educated is to keep off domains that potentially carry legal consequences. This
tendency sets in because the educated are able to clearly perceive the role of
law interpreting and law enforcing agencies and the powers conferred on them by
statutory provisions. By and large, it is an advantage to avoid legal
ramifications than to enter litigations. Such caution rules the mind because
the prospect of punishments, the social stigma and the inconveniences that go
with these outweigh any other consideration. The really educated hesitate to
confront the laws of land that do not infringe upon their rights of normal
citizenship. These features go with law-abiding citizens. The value of real
education lies in its innate ability to inculcate values in the recipient. If
values get planted in the mind, the person is ready to take on adverse
situations without craving for personal ascension. Also, it promotes a sense of concern for
others and suppresses tendencies for improper steps of wealth acquisition.
There are other “elevations” that the
personality witnesses as products of education
To conclude:
Education revolves round character
building and elevating the mental capacity through the augmentation of innate capacities
vested in humans. It is absolutely vital to muster and master the nuances of
learning. Learning and knowledge building are the real issues in education.
Mere passing of examinations without acquiring the knowledge by comprehension
fails to help life situations. Genuine learning improves every facet of human
skill including that of communication. The all round development of mind and
brain together confer the qualities of law-abiding, peace loving, worthy
citizenship.
Being equipped is more ideal than being merely qualified.
To be self reliant on knowledge front is the
real purpose of good learning. Rote learning does not serve the long term needs
of life and unfailingly vapourizes with time. People should realize the correct
approaches to learning. Analyzing the facts of the situation and arriving at
appropriate conclusions and solutions are derivatives of real education. If all
strategies of education are clearly followed, communication skills also come to
the person as a natural offshoot. Consider the veracity of the suggestions
made. As one interested in education please analyse them before reaching a
conclusion.
Let us always aim at being genuinely equipped.
THANK YOU GOOD LUCK. Prof. K. Raman.
