INSPIRATION- II

The implication is, the impact on the recipient has to be strong enough or ‘gripping’. It can happen better if the interacting persons are able to read each other quickly and fully.  In popular expression this is called ‘striking’ the wavelength. In my opinion, the closer the wavelengths [among the interacting people] the greater is the impact. Once the recipient reveals keenness to interact, the inspirer gets enthused to communicate better. This relationship keeps expanding into further relationships based on emotions. The most common derivative is the respect for the inspirer from the inspired. This is just a small reaction. Greater emotional bondages would follow if fruitful interactions continue. Should that really happen, a long-standing benefit accrues in the form of inspired persons, some of whom were insipid to begin with. Once properly inspired, a person would prefer to do the best as a daily routine. Therefore, those with an opportunity to communicate to people should make the best of it.  

Impact and Basis:

Inspiration is a mental infection. It travels between persons. Like the pathological infection, inspiration too needs a donor, a recipient and a vector. Also, a single donor can effectively infect many recipients- as in a pathological event. Likewise, only the susceptible recipients are infected and to the extent of susceptibility.  But, certainly there are differences between the two cases, although the term ‘infection’ swiftly conveys the idea. In a pathological infection, the event is totally unplanned, affecting an unknown recipient by an unintentional donor. In due course, both can get cured by treatment, since they “suffer” from an infection.  But inspiration is not a suffering. Perhaps it is more alleviating, giving a proper direction to a particular understanding.

Both the donor and recipient know each other. The infective inspiration begins on its own even if there is no conscious effort. Let us remember that for inspiration, the effective vector is good communication, unlike the silent biological vector. While a pathological infection sieges an area or organ, inspiration takes hold of all the dimensions of a person including attitude. Therefore, greater effort to strive for doing the best on every occasion gets inculcated in an inspired person. The person gets a ‘feel’ of success through wider acceptance. Success is a tonic.                             

How it operates?

Slowly a person realizes that [s]he is able to thoroughly grasp what the inspiring person conveys. It amplifies into a special value to the recipient. The recipient pays keen attention to the utterances from “that” source and deeply etches them in mind. In fact the recipient would not miss any opportunity to listen to the source. The recipient almost comes under a spell and rather cherishes it. This is a crucial step in crossing the threshold that I mentioned earlier. Any further interaction achieves the most desirable impact

Benefit:

Always the benefit of inspiration accrues as much to the society as to the individual. Beyond this point, the recipient quickly discerns quality from the rest and prefers quality and earnestness on every occasion. This is the foundation for motivation. Unconsciously, the recipient gets motivated and tuned for the rest of his or her life. If this happens, the person begins to observe every mannerism and approach of the inspirer and tries to model self on the same lines in a bid to be at his /her best. So long as the inspirer does not imagine that [s]he is inspiring, nothing will go wrong.
