LEARNER ETHICS-3 [ A silent process of shaping].
While ethics is a prime
requisite for true progression, a certain level of responsibility in shaping it
[ethics] rests with the teacher[s].
Yes, most items of
human life are derived by inheritance or by imbibing it. Quite a few components
of human life, like, speech, writing and ‘presentation’ are somewhat influenced
by persons who have occasions of interaction with such recipients.
Those who modify the
functional components in a person are glorified as ‘role models’. What have
these ‘role models’ to do with a person’s transformation cannot be just
paraphrased in words, because there is always a deep undercurrent of ‘willing
submission’ by all those influenced by the ‘role model’.
Why do I name it a
‘willing submission’?
The donor-recipient
relationship is a prerequisite for locating a role model per se.
Interestingly, a kind
of infection happens before the recipient submits self –as to be a decided
replica of his/her mentor.
I have a penchant for the term
‘infection’. Without looking arrogant,
let me explain the situation. If one goes by its medical implication
“infection” can be of a range from causing fear to one of fearing death [mortal
fear]. Be that as it may, for every infection to occur -2 persons [a donor and a recipient] should come within
the range of infection – a physical proximity [medical situation].
Likewise a Learner-
Teacher relationship requires proximity of mind [mental proximity] to keenly
follow every syllable of interaction. What politely foists this mental proximity
is an item of intense study to decipher the connection.
It is easy to conceive
of it as 2 minds striking the same wavelength –an easy explanation without
explaining it. In plain terms, the
learner quickly grasps the suggestion; i.e, the way a teacher puts an idea
across , keeps the recipient comfortable , even as [s]he receives the message.
So, the level of
comfort that a recipient realizes during a session of learning makes him or her
to willingly submit self to that teacher to the point of making the latter –‘a
role model’. This is the beginning of infection.
Also, infections are
never felt ‘during infection’ but are understood from the effect. But, role
models are not role models to all; different role models to different
recipients can emerge purely from ‘striking the most appropriate wave length’.
It is the beauty of the mind game.
