BLOG WRITING
Is blog writing difficult?
The answer is simultaneously, Yes and No.
‘Yes’ because pitching on a topic that can engage readers for
at least the time they spend on reading it –to happen in regularity [a topic
each day in a 24 hour cycle] is something that calls for persistence in effort.
‘No’ because, for a chosen theme, one has to merely plan out
what to say, when to say, how much to share; the last component is influenced
by the profile of readers as understood by the writer.
Why –many do not prefer to write blog?
A certain degree of
inhibition or ‘restraint’ that stems from a ‘fear that –what do I know to share
through a blog? Cripples the thought to writing. A deeper inhibition is – ‘my
grammar is not perfect, my vocabulary is not sufficient to handle situations’ ; and a lurking fear that ‘people may reject whatever I write’ are some
‘inhibitors’ that dampen the spirit.
Getting over ‘hurdles’
Most such ‘inhibitions can be overcome’ by discussion among
friends to rectify errors or improper alignments of ideas. Always write in a
language that convinces yourself as a writer, before venturing to convince
unknown readers. It is a kind of ‘self correction’ willing to face ‘scrutiny ‘
first by self and later by our friends.
Mind is a bundle of
confusions
Many know many things; They do not seem to understand what is
‘known’ or ‘where to begin, how not to mix-up different ideas though apparently
related to a theme. Segregating one from another is an essential organisational
exercise before we attempt ‘presenting’
it. Much of this can be readily acquired by a systematic practice of ‘thought
munching’ to formulate the most logical [and thus natural] sequence to convey
an idea. Consequently several inter-related items get to ‘re-align’ in assembly
and over a time many domains of information exist in ‘mental library’ which is
a better store to recover from.
Real confusion
Getting to have a clear perception of ‘reader-preferences’ is
a domain of honest confusion; at least to me it looks so. So, a small
hesitation grips the writer in settling for a topic. In having to race with time
, delaying a decision over the
choice of a topic
for the day can inflict a serious damage to the faith that readers place
on blog topic. It is naive to believe that all views presented pass muster with
readers. Also, unless blog topics emerge with regularity, readers may choose to
give-up blog–reading, with no certainty on getting a posting. It is equally
important not to present something on a blog, merely to satisfy the regularity
component on blog posting.
Confusion / confounded
With very few respondents who offer written responses , the
blog writer has to keep guessing with no clues as to how well a piece goes down
with readers. ‘EMOJEES’ are not decipherable as to if they suggest enjoyment of
reader or is it a nice way of ‘laughing at’ the piece of writing and the writer.
In all, the process is ticklish , except that it engages our time that would otherwise have been squandered in a different way.

I have the mind to have a blog of mine but I am yet to know the way to start. As it is I am satisfied by responding to others blogs.
