All processes relating to the effort involve clear strategies of improving one’s personal profile. Each step of learning should be focussed to enrich a sequential approach of assembling details of information to derive knowledge; Processing of knowledge should promote analytic skills, quicker grasp, ability to interpret, segregation of subjective and objective parameters for interpretation, forecasting some probabilities and trouble shooting

These are well within a person’s reach, provided [s]he meticulously avoids memorizing as the method of learning. Memorizing can help repeating prefabricated statements but seldom can fortify the ability to formulate statements. So, even after the highest stages of learning, candidates are flabbergasted by their own states of panic rendering them paranoid in situations of interaction.

Rote learning seriously dents the level of confidence in a person.  Candidates trained in memory-based learning, fail to develop ‘pushing tendencies’ and tremble in a competitive reckoning. However, the game is not lost for those who are willing to adopt adaptive strategies of rearguard action as a route to salvaging dignity and comfort. The spirit is ‘never say die’; transform self to accept truth, disband ego, strive hard to gather input from all sources, you WILL  succeed.

Begin now:

Knowledge is an asset for healthy presentation and not for vulgar display. Unless appropriately presented, knowledge does not spread nor does it improve. To be able to carry any information forward, a right package of words, technical terms and phrases is essential. If the package looks fresh and not a mere repeat of the standard phrases, it invites attention. Developing a style that is valid by any reckoning needs systematic approach of mustering and mastering words ideal for a situation. Practising the correct usage is essential. The best option is to listen to authentic speakers and media sources-print and visual. Cultivating the habit of reference to standard Dictionaries is the right beginning to righteous approach. Listening to good speakers offers the advantages of vocabulary, punches and pauses, and critical components –intonation and pronunciation. Learning from listening is associated with observation instead of vague approaches impelled by spelling / assumed meanings. Familiarity to some words need not be valid in inferring meanings among words of similar constructs. Connotations are typical to all languages and let us be sure of them.   All these are better gathered from human resources instead of from inanimate ones like books, dictionaries and printed matter. Pruning the skills of observation is a good practice as it helps ‘passive learning’ from innumerable sources. All places of public gathering like Railway stations, Airport lounges, Post offices, Banks and Offices of the Government provide scope for learning procedures, names for operations, typical terms and the structural hierarchy in these organizations. The information so gained must be put to use for learning other similar functions. Please fine-tune all senses of perception ready to receive.

Perception / Comprehension:

With openness as a part of the person’s approach to learn, slowly comprehension of ideas becomes much easier. Once comprehending ideas takes deeper root, learning loses the otherwise ‘confrontational’ image. Besides, memory turns sharper in connecting territories, staying at ease to accept more, with no need to tax self. Learning by comprehension is a pleasure devoid of taxing the mind.  Comprehension is an invitation to analyses, which requires assessing details for alternative interpretation[s]. This is how precisely, information gets processed into knowledge.                     

Updating all domains:

As a means of updating, the learner should resort to reading better books, journals and articles on contemporary topics. It slowly helps to acquire clarity and stabilizes the learning process. These attempts improve the learner’s ability to retain ideas that promote comprehension in preference to painful retention by forced memory.

Comprehension of ideas and the analyses thereof bring forth any hidden ability in the person even as [s]he registers a level of confidence high enough to turn extrovert in gatherings. The earliest of signs in this change must be strengthened by entering circles known to be ideal for interaction.                                       To Continue
