WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE -5
The present episode of
quotes from Shakespeare relates to human attitude and general disposition to
time. As I have always held, Shakespeare has been among the best of readers of
human mind. I hope the day’s quotes prove interesting as ever.
“I
wasted time, and now doth time waste me “
This quote reads
remarkably plain. It clearly states that if time is not appropriately utilized
in one’s early life, in the later stage time would not help achieving anything
[Past laziness fails to improve chances for better opportunities].
What
is past is prologue
A statement which lays
out clearly that the past events/instances in one’s life are the true
‘introduction’ to events in one’s later life. It is a clear suggestion that
events in life do have clear connectivity. [or] one event leads to another.
Defer
no time, delays have dangerous ends.
It is a note of caution
that suggests that ‘putting off ‘things may lead to complications or may result
in ‘hard-to-solve’ complexities.
Time’s
the king of men; he is both their parent, and he is their grave, and gives them
what he will, not what they crave
This quote from
Shakespeare clearly shows that ‘it is time that rules our life from birth to
death and that it may not satisfy our desires/wishes.
Pleasure
and action makes the hours seem short.
Another quote --that
easily relates the components action, time and involvement as a human activity.
When we are quite involved in an activity that is pleasurable, we seldom notice
the passage of time. We seldom feel having spent time over the items we really
enjoy.
In
time we hate that which we often fear.
This quote means that
humans develop hatred over things that cause fear and anxiety to them. Over
items that we are unable to get over fear about, we develop hatred as a
response.
